The Show President for 2011 is Peter Hodgson CBE, FCA.DL

Peter Hodgson was born in Launceston, the son of the late Mr and Mrs John Hodgson. He is married to Cecilia daughter of the late Brigadier Arnold Cazenove who commanded Home Defences in Cornwall (1943-1944) and the late Mrs Elizabeth Cazenove.

Peter and Cecilia have three children-James married to Jules, who live in Truro. James is a partner in Hodgsons, being partner in charge of their Falmouth Office. Tim is married to Fiona and they have two children. Tim is global head of Human Resources for Admin Re. Charlotte lives in London and is a Norland trained nanny.

Peter, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London, returned to join his Father’s practice in Launceston in 1972. Peter has specialised in agricultural and private client work with a particular expertise in Inheritance Tax planning. Peter is now Senior Partner of Hodgsons chartered accountants with offices in Launceston and Falmouth.

Peter was appointed High Sheriff of Cornwall for the year 2005/06 and was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Cornwall in 2006

Peter has been Chairman of University College Falmouth and also Chairman of Mount House School in Tavistock. He also worked voluntarily for the Conservative Party, locally, regionally and nationally. Peter is also a former chairman of the Finance Committee of the Cornwall Branch of the British Red Cross.

He was awarded the OBE in 1979 and the CBE in 1992.
